The book "Soap Box Derby Speed Secrets" was written by Mel Stavn in 1966. It appears to be a disertation on how physics applies to a Soap Box Derby racer. If you are an engineer or a mathematician you will probably find it to be 'light reading' but whether or not you understand the proofs in the book, you can still benefit from his conclusions about what will make a Derby car go fast!

  • 4 dual durometer MPC 110 mm Streetfight inline skate wheels including NiNjA Ceramix 688 Mini-Miser bearings. Bearings alone retail for $190 for 8 bearings. Wheels retail for $ 16.00 each. I will sell 8 bearings and 4 wheels for the low price of $225.00. This wheel and bearing combination has the potential to beat many of your competitors. Based on Akron's newly paved track these wheels may have just the right combination of rebound and high speed bearings to take your car to the next level of speed.
